By: Javed Ali Khan

Ducati Multistrada has a good presence in India and If I am correct, I saw it for the first time in Sonamarg, back in 2015 which was used by a European couple. Indeed, like any other automobile and machine enthusiast, I always wanted to ride it but again, we all have to wait for the right time to do so.

But as far as Multistrada V4 is concerned, Ducati finally brought in the ICEBERG version with electronic updates and new accessories. Ducati has been successful in delivering almost 10000 pieces of Multistrada V4 around the world making it the best-selling and most popular family in the Ducati range.

The current 4th generation Multistrada is an efficient all-rounder and features state-of-the-art technology being the first motorcycle in the world equipped with front and rear radar, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) systems, Iceberg White Livery, the new semi-automatic function of the electronic suspension for the Multistrada V4 S and software updates for improving the connection between rider and Multistrada V4 they own.

The software updates are available free of charge for existing owners of Multistrada V4 S and they will be contacted gradually through the MyDucati App and via email and will then be able to go to their trusted Ducati Service to receive the updates.

The lowered suspension kit, available as an accessory for the Multistrada V4 S, allows the rider the possibility to opt for a range between 790 and 875 mm of seat height, a configuration that best suits their physical characteristics and riding style.

The all new White Color Iceberg Multistrada V4S with Spoked Wheels is now available in India at INR 26,99,000 Ex-Showroom India.

Ducati SuperSport Crash

An all new Ducati SuperSport, out for a test drive in Kerala, met with an accident. Pictures taken just after the crash clearly shows the damage to the motorcycle.

The front section including the headlight was completely damaged. The damage was due to direct impact with a small a road side cement pillar adjoining the kerbstone. The bike must have been at a high speed when it met with the accident. There was no clarity whether the rider was injured or not.

Ducati Supersport is available in two versions – SuperSport & SuperSport S and the price starts at ₹12.04 lakh (ex-showroom) for SuperSport and ₹13.34 lakh (ex-showroom) for SuperSport S. The basic difference between the two is due to additional features like ‘Ducati Quick Shift Up/Down, Passenger Seat Cover, 48 mm Öhlins fork with TiN Coated Inner Tubes and a Single-Shock with integrated gas tank, both fully adjustable’ which are available in SuperSportS variant.

The engine specification of both bikes remains same i.e. 937 CC displacement which generates 110HP and 93NM torque, weights almost what an Royal Enfield weights – 183 Kg (dry weight), Bosch ABS with Ducati Traction Control and different riding modes.

What ever be the reason of the crash, SuperSport has always been a dream for any Bike crazy fan. We hope the company will recover major cost of repair through insurance. As we always say and emphasise on, we again request you all to BeSafe, DriveSafe and RideSafe.
